Sandy Creek Community Park

Sandy Creek Community Park is 386 acres and currently contain 3.9 miles of trails for horses, hikers, and mountain bikers. While there are picnic benches, the park is not fully developed and there are currently no water or restroom facilities on site. The acidic sandy loams and clay soils are suitable for restoring the longleaf pine ecosystem, which would support the rare red-cockaded woodpecker and eastern slender glass lizard.
