Indian Creek Recreation Area

The Indian Creek Recreation Area Nature Trail is a 3.2 mile loop that is an excellent place to spot the red-cockaded woodpecker. Look for white markings on trunks denoting which trees are home to these rare birds. Located in the Alexander State Forest, this recreation area boasts 3 beaches, laundry facilities, a myriad of campsites, and access to the 1,250-acre Indian Creek Lake.
