South Toledo Bend State Park

South Toledo Bend State Park is home to two hiking trails, approximately 1.8 miles total, that offer scenic views of the Toledo Bend Reservoir. Check out the visitor center for an easy 0.5 mile Lakeview Nature Trail and observation deck. The Hippie Point Trail will take you on a nice 1.5 mile walk that gives you views of the reservoir from small bluffs. Keep you eyes up in the sky, as the area is a common nesting ground for bald eagles, which enjoy freshwater fish from the reservoir.
