Jungle Gardens

These Jungle Gardens were created by Edward Avery “Ned” McIlhenny, the son of the inventor of Tabasco sauce. Over 170-acres, these gardens exhibit rare and exotic botanical species from around the world and are divided into 15 different garden area “stations”. You can either drive through the gardens, and get out of the car to complete short walks, or you can park at the entrance and walk the whole way (not the most popular option but highly recommended). The actual length of your trip will vary depending on your specific route through the gardens.

There is also an optional one hour tour of the Tabasco factory (small extra fee) that is definitely well worth it. The facilities have vending machines, picnic area, gift shop, and even a restaurant on site.
